Meet Delilah Duffy, the new girl on the murder mystery/romantic suspense block. She's no stranger to solving mysteries in books, but real murders aren't so cozy.

Delilah loves and dreams BIG. Thing is, she's working against BIG PROBLEMS. High anxiety. A regretful past. A feuding family. No money. Zero self-confidence. Oh, and a murder.

When Delilah moves to Tipee Island, North Carolina to reopen her great aunt's abandoned bookstore, she expects to fall into the peaceful folds of a beach town. Wrong. Delilah Duffy doesn't have a hot minute to settle into her new life before the haters come out to play. Most of them belong to her own family, but she somehow loves them anyway.

Her Christian world view helps (it is the South y'all), but she's not judgy, preachy, or uptight. She uses swear words just as often as Bible verses. She also enjoys long walks on the beach (with beers in her pockets). How else is she going to think through her issues?

For all her battles, Delilah's a fighter. She scrounges together what's left of her damaged self-esteem and puny resources (mostly her wit and nerdiness) to battle against police allegations, family drama, and a killer. When mayhem turns to murder, it's not just her bookstore she's trying to save, but her life.
